The Commerce High School Band performed several pieces at the North East Texas Marching Invitational Wednesday afternoon at Texas A&M; University-Commerce. The band will also perform at the UIL Marching Competition at Mesquite Memorial Stadium on Oct. 21.

RALPH ABERNATHY
Ralph Lane Abernathy, 79, of Campbell passed away May 15, 2012, at his daughter’s residence in Dallas. Services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Sunday at First Presbyterian Church in Commerce with Rev. Mary Alice Lyman officiating. Interment will follow at Brigham Cemetery near Campbell. Coker-Mathews Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
