MARY WARREN

CUMBY — A funeral service for Mary Warren, 91, of Cumby, was conducted at First Baptist Church in Cumby, at 10 a.m., Oct. 30, with Rev. Royce Measures and Rev. John Ginn officiating.

Interment followed at Pleasant Grove Cemetery with Austin Jarvis, Steve Sossebe, Landon Mabe, Micah Bell, Alan Scalf and David Tremor serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers were E. A. Junell, Kevin McDonald William Goode and Jerry Bivins. Visitation was from 7 to 9 p.m., Oct. 29, 2012 at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home in Sulphur Springs.

Mary Warren passed away Oct. 27, 2012, at Walnut Place Retirement and Health Care in Dallas.

She was born in Ginger, Texas, on May 8, 1921, the daughter of Melvert Jackson Bullard and Audrey Lee (McAlister) Bullard. She married James J. Warren Jr. in Cumby on Jan. 25, 1940, and he preceded her in death. She held a degree from East Texas State Teachers College. She was a homemaker and a member of First Baptist Church of Cumby, a member of the Red Hat Society, The 20th Century Club of Cumby and TOPS.

Survivors are a son, Jeryl Stephen Warren and wife, Barbara, of Round Rock; daughter, Marsha Lee Rucker and husband, Ben, of Cumby; grandchildren, Joshua Warren, Jeremy Warren, Emili Jarvis, Jodi Sudderth, Kathryn Killian and Dax Rucker; and great-grandchildren, Megan Rucker, Austin Jarvis, Landon Mabe, Hannah Jarvis, Grace Bailey, Aiden Jarvis, Jack Petty, Holden Killian and Jacob Warren.

Hoyt Scoggins officiating and Jay Porterfield assisting.
