LUCILE HOLLEY

COMMERCE — Lucile Holley, 99, of Commerce passed away Jan. 1, 2013, in Greenville.

Lucile was born Oct. 8, 1913, in Hopkins County to Hugh Nicewarner and Della Moore. She worked for Dr. Smith, a local dentist, for 30 years; and she also ran the lunchroom at Branom School.

She was preceded in death by husband Clyde, sister Delma, brother Willard Don and sister Edith.  

She is survived by son David and wife Mary Helen, Earnest (Skip), Valton and wife Marsha. She is also survived by granddaughters Brandi and Angela, granddaughter Amy and husband Steve Hennessee and great-grandaughters Maggy and Valerie, as well as niece Dora Alverson, great-niece Donna and husband Kevin Fox, AvoLee Reed and four sons, niece Sue Bartlet and son Paul, niece Gayle Watson and nephew Johnny Denbow and wife Paula.

Special thanks to caregivers Dora Alverson, Yvonne, Nita Herman and Rev. Roy Lee Dittmar.

Funeral services were at 11 a.m., Jan. 4, in the  Jones-Walker and Son Funeral Home chapel with Rev. Roy Lee Dittmar officiating. Visitation was conducted one hour prior to the funeral services. Interment followed at Mount Zion Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Rod Herman, Benney Herman, Joe Pucek, Steve Holley, Steve Hennessee and Kevin Fox.

    Funeral services for Kelly Walker Jones of Sulphur Springs were conducted at 10 a.m., May 11, in the West Oaks Funeral Home chapel with Bro. Hoyt Scoggins officiating and Jay Porterfield assisting. Interment followed at Restlawn Memorial Park with Lance Looney, Grant Looney, Kyle Smith, Ryan Reed, Taylor Pace and Brad McFadden serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearer was Trey Elliott.
