Jessie Mae McKenzie, 73, of Commerce passed away April 13, 2012, at her home.
Memorial services will be held in Stamps, Ark.
She was born on Sept. 9, 1938, in Stamps, Ark., to Octavia Jester Phillips and Robert B. Phillips.
Coming from Arkansas to Texas in 1969, she moved from Dallas to Commerce in 1989. Jessie was a bookkeeper/accountant. She married Gene McKenzie in McKinney on March 2, 1974.
Survivors include her sons, Robert Davison of Taylor, Ark., and Wayne Hilliard of Whitehouse; her daughter, Nita McCrary of Dallas; four sisters, Edna Bland of Jacksonville, Ark., Addis Wallies of Jacksonville, Ark., Edith “Mo” Bosiecki of Jacksonville, Ark., and Gladys Oats of Texarkana, Ark.; 13 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
Jessie was preceded in death by her husband, her parents and her brother, Bobby Phillips.
Jones-Walker & Son Funeral Home and Cremation Service of Commerce is in charge of arrangements.

Funeral services for Kelly Walker Jones of Sulphur Springs were conducted at 10 a.m., May 11, in the West Oaks Funeral Home chapel with Bro. Hoyt Scoggins officiating and Jay Porterfield assisting. Interment followed at Restlawn Memorial Park with Lance Looney, Grant Looney, Kyle Smith, Ryan Reed, Taylor Pace and Brad McFadden serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearer was Trey Elliott.
