Jerry Crouch

COMMERCE — Jerry Rayburn Crouch, 77, died in Orlando, Fla., on Oct. 23, 2012. He died under the care of Vitas Hospice Care of Orlando, after several months’ care under Hospice of The Hills, Lakeway, Texas.  

Jerry is survived by his wife of almost 59 years, Anna Lee Talley Crouch; a son, Greg Crouch; daughter Rana Crouch Smith; and seven grandchildren.   

He was preceded in death by his son, Daniel Crouch.  

Jerry completed his bachelor of science degree at Texas A&M University-Commerce and master’s diploma at University North Texas, Dallas. Jerry worked 34 years for Vought Aircraft Division, Grand Prairie, retiring in 2001. He designed work procedure systems for the famous B-1 and B-2 fighter aircraft, while also earning Outstanding Employee of the Year 1988. Jerry served the community for 10 years as a teacher for Arlington High School.  Throughout his life, Jerry’s favorite activity was to dig in his garden and tend to his ranch by planting trees, flowers and foods of all types, which he always wanted to share with others.

On Nov. 7, at 11 a.m., there will be a service at the United Methodist Church, Commerce.

    Funeral services for Kelly Walker Jones of Sulphur Springs were conducted at 10 a.m., May 11, in the West Oaks Funeral Home chapel with Bro. Hoyt Scoggins officiating and Jay Porterfield assisting. Interment followed at Restlawn Memorial Park with Lance Looney, Grant Looney, Kyle Smith, Ryan Reed, Taylor Pace and Brad McFadden serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearer was Trey Elliott.
