COMMERCE —
A local woman has received five separate indictments for allegedly using debit cards without permission.
Tiffany Nicole Ahmad, 24, of Commerce, was indicted by the Hunt County grand jury last Friday, Aug. 27. The indictments alleged that Ahmad used an individual’s debit card — the same alleged victim was named in each of the charges — without permission on five occasions, all on Sept. 8, 2008.
Ahmad was arrested by the Commerce Police Department on March 10, 2009.
The charges were filed as state jail felonies, which carry a maximum punishment upon conviction of up to two years in a state jail and optional fines of up to $10,000 in each case.
