CSEEF awards $29,000 to CISD teachers

COMMERCE — The Commerce Schools Educational Enrichment Foundation presented grant awards totaling over $29,000 to Commerce ISD teachers. The Foundation Board was recognized by the CISD Board of Trustees at their November meeting for their commitment and dedication to the students of CISD as evidenced by the nine projects funded this year. Students in fourth grade will again visit the state capital, second graders will go to the Dallas World Aquarium, first graders will visit the Caldwell Zoo in Tyler and third graders will go the Heard Natural Science Museum in McKinney. A writing camp will again be held for seventh graders. An ActivTable, an interactive computer display table, will be purchased for Commerce Elementary School. Apps will be purchased for CES ipads and Georgia O’Keefe’s art will be studied in depth. Commerce High School will be able to purchase a new mobile sound system.
