COMMERCE — The Northeast Texas Children’s Museum will be hosting a Bridge event at 1:30 p.m., Monday.
Card players throughout the area will have the opportunity to meet new people while playing their favorite game and enjoying the desserts provided for them.
Those unfamiliar with the game will receive special instruction and their own tables for beginners, along with a chance to win a variety of door prizes.
“The prizes were a highlight of the first Bridge Event several years ago,” said Nancy McFarland, co-chair of the event and museum board member. “We have a large variety of prizes for our guests at this event.”
While this is the second time a Bridge Event has been held as a fundraiser for the museum, it is the first time that is has been held at the current location.
Tickets for the event are $20 and my be purchased from Nancy McFarland, Toni Deaton or Betty Bedgood, all co-chairs for the event. Tickets are also available at the museum and may be purchased in person or by credit card by calling 903-886-6055 during regular museum hours.
